The Yorkies Got Some Handmade Custom Outfits From Denver Doggie Duds

The Yorkies are looking mighty fine in their new duds they got this week. Carly was surfin' the net when she came across a website called "Denver Doggie Duds". She liked what she saw and then told us to check it out, so we did.
Denver Doggie Duds are creators of a distinctive line of handmade dog clothes for all seasons. They offer styles made from quality fabrics, in a wide variety of colors and sizes. They have "Free Shipping" in the USA and they can ship internationally too. They even offer team logo products upon requests.

With the temperatures in the 90's for the last 18 days the Yorkies had not been playing outside much, put took the time to try and pose for a picture together. Look this way guys...no Tinkerbell we're not going back in...she's always the first back at the door.
Now, Carly had seen this cute dress online and really wanted it bad. She's all dressed up and no where special to go to. She'll probably wear it over the weekend for the 4th, and turn a few heads. The clothes we got were easy to put on and take off, ideal for Yorkies.
Tinkerbell is still the shy one when it comes to being photographed. We love her in her little sundress, she's going to break some hearts in this outfit for sure. No two outfits are the same since all of the clothes and accessories are handmade in Littleton, Colorado.

Now, here's the model of the family...Shiloh...in his light blue palm tree shirt...ready to go clubbing or walk on the beach. Girls he's still single....but you'll have to wait in line...he gets more attention then the sample cart at Sam's Club.

So that's what the Yorkies got this week, some beautiful outfits for them to wear over the summer and especially for the 4th of July festivities.
We hope you'll go check out Denver Doggie Duds and see the wide range of outfits they have available. They create both standard and custom outfits, as well as custom designs.

And if you know someone who loves to buy clothes for their dogs, buy them a gift certificate and let them in on the fun. We are sure that the Yorkies love their new outfits, almost as much as they love air conditioning...yes we'll let you back in.
Please go check out the Yorkies new friends at Denver Doggie Duds and tell them you saw their clothes on our blog. Their link is http://denverdoggieduds.com/ and they are also on Facebook too. We know you'll have a great time looking at all the designs they offer and they will help you find the right size.
We hope you have a great 4th of July and that you will come back and visit us again. The Yorkies have settled down for the night and have hung up their clothes....peace has settled over the Waterside Yorkie household...goodnight Carly, goodnight Tinkerbell and goodnight Shiloh...you can wear your outfits again tomorrow.

Bad Boy Bassett Brothers Visit The Waterside Yorkies

We found these great books online about a pair of Basset Hound brothers. They reminded us of our Yorkies, so we decided to get both books.
The first one is called "Stanley & Norman bad boy bassett brothers" and is written by Frank Monahan and is illustrated by Deborah FitzGerald. They grab at your heart strings as you fall in love with the two brothers. You will learn some of life's lesson as the brothers go through trial and error. Each page comes to life as your read and follow the pair on their journey.

The second book is called "Stanley & Norman: bassett brothers backyard buddies". This tells the story of the two brothers as they try and make some new friends in the outside world. A trip that leads them and you into discovering the wonders of the world.

Both are excellent books, and were received very well by the Yorkies...by the time we read the first book they fell asleep for their afternoon nap. We had to finish it later that evening...what you don't read to your dogs....come on...we know we're not alone.

So we read the second book the next day and the Yorkies loved it too...we knew they would. We only hope that some of the lesson's in the storylines rub-off on them. Yorkies and Bassett's are very similar in being adventurist.

So please go check out Stanley & Norman on their website http://stanleyandnorman.com/ and order the books. Tell them you read about the books on our blog.

You can even arrange to have the author visit your childs school and tell about his writing process, read to the kids and show them photos of the real Stanley & Norman. We recommend both books, even if you don't read them to your dogs, you can read them to your kids, grandkids or anyone who appreciates children's books.

Rocket Science Productions (publisher's) and Frank Monahan (author) are conducting a book drive to help out the many organizations that can't afford any books. Please help them out if you can, just go to their website and click on "Book Drive".

We hope you enjoy them as much as the Yorkies did. And we will be trying out the books this fall when my wife goes back to school. She helps teach kindergardener's, they will love, love, love these books. I will blog about that experience once it happens, and tell you how they enjoyed them. Please check back with us, and thanks for stopping by.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY

Happy Father's Day to all the Father's out in blogland. If you love Yorkies, and happen to be a Father, you must be full of love and kindness and be confident in yourself, I know at 6'4" it takes a little getting use to when people see my 3 lb Yorkie with me trailing behind her. Or the other 2 Yorkies at 5 lbs...people stare, look and wonder why does he have such tiny dogs, a big man should have larger dogs. These people don't know a Yorkies love. For I am a Yorkie owner, and a Father to our Yorkie herd, a Father to our children, and "Pawpaw" to our grandchildren.
Someone once said "sometimes the poorest man leaves his children the richest inherantance".
The role of being a father is to inspire, coach and guide his children. To show them how to go down life's path, falling sometimes, but always getting up and trying again. A father sometimes raises his children, like his garden, only weeding when needed, providing nurishment and protection from life's pests. And in the end, his reward is a crop full of love and fulfillment, he may not say he needs anything in return, but he does, and gets it whenever he looks at his children's face, knowing he did his best, tried his hardest, to provide a better life for his children.
So go call your dad, your father, the man in your life who will always love you, always protect you and will always need you as much as you need him.
And all you dad's.....remember this is just one day of a full year of life. Our jobs never have a holiday, a day-off or a time out. We have to do whatever it takes, whenever it takes us to provide and love our children.
Happy Father's Day to all the dad's....I hope this day is a grand one for you and please come back and visit us again. Now turn off the computer and go play with your kids, your grandkids, even the dogs...enjoy life to the fullest and tell your kids you love them each day and everyday.
And I too will now go enjoy my day, for I am a Father to our Yorkies, to our kids and "Pawpaw" to our grandkids. A title I enjoy each day, everyday.
